WMF 2025 Guide

Read the essential information
to make the most of the event

Location and Hours: BolognaFiere / Bologna

  • Entrances: it will be possible to access the WMF using two entrances of BolognaFiere:
  • Accreditation: participant accreditation will begin from 08:30. It will then be possible to accredit throughout the day.
  • Info Point: this is the area to request information about the event. Here you will also find the speaker and press point.
  • Event Closing: the closing of the event is scheduled for 06/04 and for 06/05 at 8:00 PM,
    while for 06/06 at 7:00 PM with the concert by Sarah Toscano.
  • Reserved Stage and Open Stage: located in the fair area and indicated on the map.
  • Mainstage: the main WMF stage in Hall 29, active all three days during the time slots 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM / 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM
  • Fair Area: open from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM on June 4 and 5, from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on June 6.
  • Lunch: Food Trucks will be active in the outdoor area all three days.
    Additionally, there will be bars and refreshment points inside BolognaFiere, indicated on the map.

Transportation

There are several ways and means of transportation to reach BolognaFiere.
You can come:
  • by train
  • by car
  • using the car and bike sharing service
  • by taxi
  • using bus lines 28, 35 and 38

Additionally, WMF offers discounts for participants thanks to its Mobility Partners including:
  • Trenitalia: discounts of up to 75% compared to the base fare. Find out how to get your discount!
  • Corrente: use the discount code "WMF25" to get around Bologna with Corrente’s electric vehicles, including cars, scooters, and bikes.

Parking

For those arriving by car, it will be possible to use the Michelino Parking: a paid multi-storey car park managed by BolognaFiere that can be easily reached by exiting the A14 Bologna-Taranto highway at the 'Bologna Fiera' exit.
From the parking lot, it will then be possible to reach the North Public Entrance - only a 5-minute walk - from which to access the event.

Accessibility

The fair is equipped to welcome visitors and exhibitors with disabilities: by taking exit no. 8 from the ring road, there are reserved parking spaces at the Piazza Costituzione entrance from where it will then be possible to enter the WMF.
All speeches at the Mainstage will also be interpreted in sign language (LIS).

wmf.ibrida.io

wmf.ibrida.io is the WMF progressive web app through which you can organize your agenda and enhance the event experience.
To access, simply log in to wmf.ibrida.io with your WMF registration credentials.
The web app is used simultaneously by everyone attending the WMF and is already active. If you haven't done so yet, we recommend logging in to view your QR code: without it, you will not be able to enter the Fair.
Once your account is activated, you can use the web app from any device by saving it on your home screen and enabling notifications.

Within the WebApp you can:
  • view your QR code: to enter the Fair it is necessary to scan your personal QR code to print your badge;
  • view the complete program of the event;
  • save the talks you want to follow in the My Agenda section;
  • exchange contacts with anyone attending the WMF through instant matching, scanning the QR code on their device;
  • use the Digital Job Placement service and attend interviews during the event, making matches via the platform and arranging meetings in the dedicated B2B areas;
  • explore the list of Sponsors, Partners and Startups and support the competing Startups by voting;
  • use the BOLOGNA CONGRESS CARD that gives you access to exclusive discounts on transportation, hotels and venues in Bologna, allowing you to discover and experience the WMF Location!

Network

The WebApp offers multiple features to increase and facilitate networking opportunities among all WMF participants: attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, startups, and many other stakeholders.
In particular, you can use the instant matching easily and quickly by scanning the personal QR CODE of the person you want to exchange contacts with: you will immediately see the contact on the WebApp.
Furthermore, you will have the possibility to contact other participants through one-to-one chat and meeting requests, booking a table within one of the dedicated B2B areas.

Opening hours

The event will start every day at 08:30 with check-in. The days will end at 20:00 on June 4th and 5th, and at 19:00 on June 6th.
You can check in starting at 08:30 by going to one of the two entrances: North Entrance or Piazza Costituzione Entrance.
Simply scan your personal QR code to print your badge, which will grant you access to the areas included with your ticket.
The badge is strictly personal:
  • If you have a 3-Day Ticket, the badge will be valid for all three days. Make sure to bring it with you for the entire event.
  • If you have a 1-Day Ticket, it will only be valid for the selected day.
Please note: in case of loss, the badge cannot be reprinted — keep it safe!
We recommend arriving on time to avoid long lines and not to miss anything of the WMF, in particular, besides the stage speeches also the spectacular openings of the Mainstage:
  • on 06/04 at 9:30 AM with the Opening Ceremony featuring Dardust.
  • on 06/05 at 9:45 AM with the Live Performance of Banda Rulli Frulli;
  • on 06/06 at 9:30 AM with the Live DJ Set by Samuel!

It will still be possible to accredit yourself at any time during the day.
Remember to bring an identity document and the QR code, which you can always find inside the Web App!

After accessing and passing the controls, in the Mall, you will find the WMF info point where you can:
  • pick up a paper map;
  • ask for any information you need!

The Location

We remind you that the WMF takes place at BolognaFiere from June 4th to 6th, 2025, and can be accessed through two entrances:

Wi-Fi

A dedicated Wi-Fi network for participants will be available inside BolognaFiere; info on how to access it will be provided soon.

Charging Points

Inside BolognaFiere you will find several charging points indicated on the map.

Food

At WMF there will be a real Street Food Area: an outdoor zone between pavilions 29 and 21 with various Food Trucks throughout the three days of the event, allowing everyone to organize their lunch break or enjoy a snack at any time of the day.
The bars and refreshment points inside the fair are open all day. The location of bars and refreshment points is indicated on the map.

Restrooms

You can locate the restrooms inside the fair directly on the map.

Smoking Areas

There are several outdoor areas at the fair where you can smoke and spend your breaks between events, such as the Food Truck Area and the WMF Garden area between pavilions 21 and 22. You can consult the map to see how to reach them!

Coat Check

At BolognaFiere, a coat check service will be active at the Costituzione entrance. We therefore recommend using this entrance if you need the service, and we remind you that the coat check is paid and managed by the BolognaFiere staff.

WMF Live Podcast

Start your day at WMF with the Live Podcast, broadcasting live from BolognaFiere every morning from 8:30 AM!
Each day, you’ll get a preview of the day’s highlights, along with insights, useful updates, and exclusive interviews with the key figures of the Festival. The weather forecast by 3B Meteo will also be featured. Tune in live on YouTube at this link.

Mainstage

Access to the Mainstage is allowed only to holders of Full Ticket and Mainstage Ticket.
Those who purchased these ticket types for only one day can access the Mainstage only on the chosen day. Mainstage talks will be translated into Italian and English through the Web App.
Those who purchased the Fair Ticket (1 or 3 days) do not have access to the Mainstage.

Reserved Stage

Access to the Reserved Stage, which is reserved for Full Ticket holders only, will require showing the badge at the stage entrance to verify access. Some of these stages will be "silent": participants will be able to follow the sessions by wearing wireless headphones and fully immerse themselves in the speeches and talks.
To allow the smooth flow of participants, we ask visitors to occupy all the seats in the Reserved Stage, starting from the central zones in the front rows.

Open stages

There will be 35 Open stages during the 3 days, located in different pavilions of the Fair Area and marked on the map inside the Web App.
To access them, you must show your badge; if you have a Fair Ticket, you can enter any Open stage, while with the Full Ticket you can also enter the Reserved Stage.

Multilingual Translation

We have updated the event schedule for an optimized experience of the moments and sessions taking place during the three days. From now on, by applying filters in the Web App, you can also see which stages will have translation available. In addition to speeches in English and Italian, you will also have the opportunity to follow selected talks and panels translated into German, Arabic, and Spanish.
Please remember that the translation will be available directly on the WMF web app: don't forget to bring your earphones to easily enjoy it anytime.

Exhibition Area

The Exhibition Area is open from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM on June 4 and 5 and from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM on June 6, hosting Thematic Districts, International Pavilions, B2B areas, tech shows, events for startups, creators, eSports, cinema, and much more!
Access to the Exhibition Area and its events is open to all types of Tickets.
This area also includes 35 Open Stages that will host various cultural and educational events during the three days.

Digital Job Placement

During the event, it will be possible, via the platform wmf.ibrida.io, to schedule job interviews.
Interviews can take place in dedicated areas that you will find indicated on the printed floor plan.

Don't miss the WMF Music Festival and discover the artists performing on the Mainstage over the three days!

Each of the three days will feature live performances both on the Mainstage, with artists such as Dardust, BigMama, Sarah Toscano, Samuel, La Rappresentante di Lista, Pau, and in the Exhibition Area on the dedicated stage, with concerts and live DJ Sets also curated by bands and emerging artists selected through the WMF contest.

JUNE 4

On June 4th, the Music Fest officially kicks off at 9:30 AM with a very special guest: Dardust, who will start the Opening Ceremony with a captivating electro set blending brutalist architecture, minimalism, and neoclassical music.
In the afternoon, after the Mainstage resumes at 6:30 PM, one of the most powerful voices in the new Italian urban scene will take the stage: BigMama. With her unmistakable style mixing rap and electronic music she will close the first day of the Festival in great style.

JUNE 5

June 5th begins with a musical awakening: at 9:45 AM, the very young and energetic RulliFrulli, an orchestra using self-made instruments from recycled materials, will take the stage to start the second day.
In the afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM, it's time for Pau, historic frontman of Negrita, who will offer a DJ set full of dance beats.
At 9:00 PM, the WMF party will open with a concert by La Rappresentante di Lista, who will bring to the WMF Mainstage a stop from their "giorni felici - summer edition 2025" tour.

JUNE 6

On June 6th, the morning will be led by Samuel: from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, the leader of Subsonica will start the day with a refined and sophisticated DJ set blending electronic and urban vibes.
In the afternoon, at 4:00 PM, TurboPaolo will take the stage with an engaging show mixing satire and digital culture. At 6:30 PM, on the Mainstage to close the day will be the winner of Amici 23, Sarah Toscano, with a live set featuring modern pop sounds and a style already loved by fans.

Music, networking, and entertainment: it’s the WMF party

Thursday, June 5th, at the end of the second day of WMF - We Make Future, the program continues with an evening dedicated to the community.

Between the Mall and the Mainstage at BolognaFiere, there will be moments designed to encourage interaction among professionals, startups, investors, speakers, and attendees, in an informal and stimulating setting. A valuable opportunity to create connections, discover new opportunities, and experience the WMF energy until late at night.

🕡 From 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM – WMF community meetup (Mall)
A convivial space to exchange visions with speakers, international guests, and participants, accompanied by live music and an informal aperitif that stimulates dialogue and inspiration. You can also join some activities designed for all WMF ticket holders including Pitch volley, jam sessions, and others to keep networking during a playful moment.
🕘 From 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM – Concert by La Rappresentante di Lista (Mainstage)
The Mainstage hosts an official stop of the "Giorni Felici – Summer Edition 2025" tour. Afterwards, the party continues with WMF DJs to close the day with music and celebration. It will be possible to attend the concert by purchasing the dedicated ticket on the Ticketone website.
