AI for Civil Engineering

Artificial intelligence has entered the world of construction and civil engineering not as a future promise, but as a transformation already underway: from structural design to material optimization, from computational BIM to infrastructure monitoring, all the way to reliability and safety assessment. This revolution, long foretold, now demands to be guided with competence, critical thinking, and vision. This stage brings together academia, the construction industry, and institutions for an afternoon to take stock of where we truly stand and where we are heading. The goal is not to celebrate technology, but to discuss honestly what AI can do today, what it cannot yet do, and the responsibilities—technical, regulatory, and ethical—that this transformation brings with it, while keeping the quality and safety of works at the center.

To Care, to Bear Witness, to Resist

During a humanitarian emergency, in contexts marked by conflict, hunger, and violence, words become an integral part of medical action. Denouncing injustice, bearing witness to survivors' stories, and celebrating their resilience is a form of care, especially in the many places far from the media spotlight. This is what the field staff of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) learn—a humanitarian organization that, for over 50 years, has combined medical action with the act of bearing witness. When silence is more terrifying than bombs or epidemics, words can become both healing and defense.

Building Revenue Engines for Impact: from Mission to Measurable Growth

Mission-driven organizations rarely fail for a lack of vision. They fail for a lack of structure in growth. After more than 15 years between international corporates and non-profits, building teams that have generated millions of euros for environmental and social projects, I have learned that impact is not scaled with enthusiasm, but with architecture: clear objectives, defined roles, sales and fundraising systems, strategic partnerships, and results-oriented leadership. In this session, I will share the practical framework I use to transform mission into sustainable growth, without compromising identity and credibility. We will talk about revenue engines, corporate partnerships, team organization, and the main mistakes that block impact-driven entities when they try to grow. This is not a motivational talk. It is an operational method for those who truly want to scale.

Digital Transformation in Healthcare: Opportunities and Critical Issues

Digital transformation represents a strategic lever for improving the access, quality, efficiency, and sustainability of the National Health Service (SSN). However, the adoption of digital technologies and AI-based solutions does not automatically translate into useful innovation: it requires solid evidence, public governance, value assessment, protection of equity, and integration into clinical-organizational processes. This presentation analyzes the opportunities and challenges of digitalizing Italian healthcare, highlighting the necessary conditions for technology to truly contribute to improving health outcomes, reducing inequalities, and strengthening a universal, fair, and sustainable healthcare system.

How Insurtech is becoming the new conversion engine for e-commerce and digital ecosystems

Until recently, insurance was a complex product sold in agencies. Today it is a seamless, invisible experience embedded in the services we use every day. From booking a trip to purchasing a smartphone, Insurtech is transforming digital platforms into the true insurance distributors of the future. Simone Ranucci Brandimarte (President of Italian Insurtech Association) will explore the boom of Embedded Insurance: how brands, e-commerce players, and tech companies can leverage this revolution to create new revenue streams, reduce cart abandonment rates, and deliver hyper-personalized customer experiences.

Modera: Antonello Barone

Who Tells the Truth? Media, Identity, and New Narratives in the Digital Age

Contemporary crises reach us through images, headlines, and often fragmented content, filtered by the logic of media and digital communication. In a context where information, propaganda, and public perception are constantly intertwined, it becomes crucial to question who shapes collective narratives and which stories remain invisible. Spanning social media, journalism, and new forms of communication, this interview reflects on the relationship between identity, memory, and representation, starting from an analysis of the books by Randa Ghazy and Pegah Moshir Pour.

From artificial intelligence to hybrid intelligence: new ideas for better interaction with AI Technologies

We live alongside machines that write, suggest, diagnose, and make decisions with us. But the real question is not how intelligent these systems are: it is what we become when we learn to use them at their best. Focusing on how to design better hybrid intelligence encourages us to move beyond both enthusiasm and fear, and allows us to understand how to build more lucid and responsible collaborative relationships between people and the technologies they use to work, stay informed, and create value.

Teenagers, AI Chatbots, and Mental Health: Risks and New Perspectives

Globally, an increasing number of teenagers are using AI chatbots to seek mental health support. The risk, however, is that these tools may be perceived as perfect, real-time "substitutes" for professionals. This raises significant concerns, especially when chatbots provide advice that lacks medical-scientific foundations or is potentially harmful, without possessing a genuine understanding of the teenager's life experiences or fragile state.

The synthetic truth: trust, deepfakes, and the future of information in the age of AI

Deepfakes are redefining the boundary between what is real and what is false. Through a study on users’ reactions to AI-generated content distributed by sources perceived as trustworthy, we will explore how trust is built in the age of synthetic media. Even when flagged, deepfakes are often misunderstood or ignored, amid polarized emotions and limited critical awareness. What happens to truth when everything can be generated?

Using AI towards new medical breakthroughs: Building the (virtual) cell

The quest to extend human healthspan and decode the biological mechanisms of aging is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by an inflection point in artificial intelligence. We are transitioning from a slow, observational approach in longevity science to a highly predictive, generative paradigm. I will explore how the convergence of advanced AI architectures and massive biological datasets is not just accelerating discovery, but fundamentally altering our approach to aging, cellular senescence, and age-related disease. At the foundation of this revolution are groundbreaking advances in biomolecular modeling and structural prediction. When coupled with emerging, purpose-built foundation models for biology and medicine, researchers are gaining the ability to decode intricate epigenetic and proteomic signatures. This enables the rational design of novel geroprotectors, targeted therapeutics, and highly personalized interventions with unprecedented speed and precision. However, the next frontier in longevity medicine lies in the transition from static structural mapping to dynamic biological simulation. The development of "world models" for biology and fully realized "virtual cells" represents a paradigm shift for the field. By simulating complex cellular behaviors and tissue-level interactions in silico, these dynamic models allow us to safely and rapidly test millions of potential anti-aging interventions. They enable researchers to predict complex systemic responses, model the long-term cascade of cellular aging, and evaluate multi-drug regimens without the immediate need for decades-long clinical trials.

From Digital Transformation to AI Transformation

Most organizations are still running digital transformation programs inside an operating model built for human limitations. They made existing processes faster and more visible, but the underlying structure - siloed roles, narrow specialization, and fragmented decision-making - remained largely unchanged.AI transformation is different. It doesn’t just accelerate work; it removes the constraints that made the old model necessary. When systems can hold and connect knowledge across domains that no human can master simultaneously, the old boundaries between functions and disciplines start to lose their purpose. Execution can be handled by agents. Human work shifts toward orchestration, judgment, and defining outcomes rather than performing tasks. This is not an efficiency story. It is an architectural one. Organizations that continue using AI primarily to reduce headcount or speed up existing processes will stay trapped in the logic of the past. Those that redesign how work is structured around what AI can now do will move from an economy of reduction to one of creation -discovering new possibilities instead of simply optimizing what already exists. The real transformation begins when leaders stop asking how AI can improve the current model, and start asking what the model should become.

From Vision to Reality: How Digital Health Became the Present

In this keynote, Roberto Ascione explores the evolution of a vision that, over three decades, has helped transform digital health as we know it today. Drawing on the ideas presented in his book “The Future of Health”, he unpacks how the belief that digital technology could make care more accessible, sustainable, and human became a roadmap for innovation. With AI now accelerating every dimension of healthcare, from clinical decision support to patient engagement, from drug discovery to digital therapeutics, the keynote offers a clear perspective on how this transformation has taken shape over time. He shares lessons on which visionary ideas endured, how course corrections proved necessary, and why the most human ambitions, such as empowering patients, restoring the doctor patient relationship, and democratizing access, have proven the most durable. This is not a keynote about what’s coming. It’s the story of what has already arrived and what it took to get here.

Your business is not your own. How to defend yourself against the power of platforms that can shut down an SME with a single click.

Small and medium-sized enterprises operate within digital ecosystems they do not control, developing a tangible dependency on major platforms over time. This presentation analyzes this structural dependency and the resulting power imbalance. Sudden account closures, withheld funds, opaque algorithms, and unanswered complaints produce immediate effects on turnover and business continuity. Hence, the examination of applicable regulations, their level of implementation, and the protective instruments currently available. A pragmatic intervention for those seeking to protect their business before someone else decides whether it may continue to exist.

The Pink Tax: The Price of "Tech for Her"

Why does a splash of rose gold often cost an extra 20%? From pastel laptops to "feminine" smartwatches, tech marketed to women frequently carries a steeper price tag without any boost in technical specs. How does the "Pink Tax" manifest in the digital age, and in what ways do superficial aesthetic shifts mask price gouging? What is the psychology behind gendered branding, and why should "shrinking and pinking" a gadget result in a premium? This session explores how we can demand equity in both hardware and the price tag.

Voice as Data: AI for Extracting Clinical and Organizational Value in the Healthcare System

Voice is one of the richest and least explored sources of data in healthcare: not only a tool for communication, but a biomarker capable of reflecting patients' physical and mental health. Through Artificial Intelligence techniques applied to voice analysis, it is now possible to transform speech into actionable insights at both a clinical level (early diagnosis, monitoring of neurological and respiratory diseases, psychological support) and an organizational level (optimization of triage flows, contact center interactions, automation of CUP/booking processes). The case study will show how integrating voice analysis AI models within digital healthcare ecosystems can:Improve the quality of care through predictive signals hidden in the voice.Enhance booking and support systems (CUP and call centers) with voice AI tools to reduce operational workloads.Provide new population metrics for public health (Population Health Management).

Reclaiming Our Shared Humanity: Navigating Global Fragility Through Dialogue, Dignity, and Collective Responsibility

In an era where international law is increasingly undermined, multilateral trust is eroding, and power rivalries threaten global stability, the very fabric of our shared humanity is being tested. Dr. Siyabulela Mandela’s keynote explores how today’s fractured world can rediscover its moral compass by re-centering diplomacy on empathy, justice, and mutual respect. Drawing from the legacies of peacebuilding and the enduring wisdom that liberty and humanity are inseparable, this address calls for a renewed commitment to bridge divides between North and South, state and citizen, progress and principle. Through a lens of diplomacy, human rights, and humanitarian action, Dr. Mandela will illuminate how inclusive dialogue and collective responsibility can reshape the international system, not merely to manage crises, but to transform fragility into an opportunity for lasting peace, shared prosperity, and restored global trust.

They’re stealing your future: why people who work today are poorer than their parents (and how to reverse the trend)

Italy ranks 36th out of 39 OECD countries in financial literacy. AI promises to multiply productivity and incomes, but also to accelerate wealth inequality. In this talk, Marco Casario — entrepreneur and financial educator — uses data and real-world examples to show why those who don’t understand the numbers behind their own lives risk becoming the real losers of the digital revolution, and outlines the four essential financial skills every professional in the AI era must possess.

Fractured Reality

From human empathy to tech empathy: it has been a short step. New intelligences are all around us, and communication is becoming artificial. In other words, AIs are increasingly becoming true partners in communication and sense-making processes—both at work and in our personal lives. What are the new challenges on the horizon in a context where AI is increasingly becoming our "dialogue buddy"? What mindset must we refine to develop a dynamic of collaborAItion and the co-creation of value? A moment to reflect on how to communicate effectively (and stay human) in an augmented world.

Generative AI and Medicine: Let’s Set the Record Straight

With the release of ChatGPT and other generative artificial intelligence platforms, more and more people are turning to these systems for health-related answers. This phenomenon is set to grow with the launch of tools such as ChatGPT Health. However, scientific evidence suggests that it is crucial to use these technologies with caution and only within specific, controlled contexts. This session aims to clarify these aspects and provide a clearer perspective.

Modera: Antonello Barone

The Agentic Enterprise: How Our Work Will Evolve in an Application Example

In the near future, organizations will radically alter their structure, with work teams hybridizing human personnel and AI agents. We shall observe how a real-world company is constructing its agentic team, what its "human" labor pyramid will entail, and which modes of interaction will be implemented, as well as how these will impact the company’s physical spaces. Finally, we will examine the potential psychological impact of labor heavily oriented toward interaction with "people-pleaser" AI Chats and autonomous agents of low empathy, sharing the guidelines and critical considerations raised by an AI-native company currently achieving this operational modality.

Reprogramming Work in the Age of AI: Between Synthetic Collaborators, Epistemic Crisis, and New Meta-Skills

AI is redefining the way we work: 6 out of 10 individuals already perceive it as a collaborator. Phenomena such as sycophancy, epistemic relativism, and linguistic shifts demonstrate the extent of our exposure to new cognitive fragilities. Drawing upon data collected from 12,000 individuals and a global training program, I propose a framework to develop meta-skills, reflexivity, and critical capacity to maintain clarity and autonomy in the age of AI.

The Power of Soft Skills: Recruiting Future-Ready Technical Talent

In recruitment, the real challenge is no longer just finding technical expertise, but identifying individuals who can apply it with effectiveness, collaboration, and innovation. Today, soft skills have become the decisive factor for technical profiles. This session analyzes which soft skills are indispensable and how to evaluate them concretely: from the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and priorities without losing productivity, to the emotional intelligence required to collaborate in cross-functional teams and manage feedback or conflict. We will explore how to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders, present solutions persuasively, and leverage critical thinking to tackle challenges creatively. Through practical examples, we will demonstrate the impact of these skills on technical team performance and overall recruiting success.

Future Telerehabilitation: From New Corporate Organizational Models to the Integration of Virtual Reality and Robotics

The objective of this speech is to provide a theoretical and scientific framework for telerehabilitation, illustrating its operating principles, delivery models, and the main evidence available in literature, which demonstrates how remote rehabilitation pathways can guarantee continuity of care, accessibility, and outcomes comparable to traditional rehabilitation across various clinical fields. The presentation will analyze the applications of telerehabilitation in major rehabilitative pathologies, focusing on neurological fields and highlighting the role of digital technologies, virtual reality, and robotic devices in improving therapeutic adherence, treatment customization, and functional outcomes. Furthermore, it will illustrate a corporate organizational model (AUSL Bologna and IRCCS ISNB) for the large-scale implementation of telerehabilitation, describing clinical-assistance processes, the integration between hospital and home settings, technological and professional requirements, as well as economic sustainability models and reimbursement mechanisms within the healthcare context. Concrete examples of implementation and technological innovation will be presented, with specific reference to PNC/PNRR-funded projects (won as Principal Investigator - PI) that integrate robotics and virtual reality into telerehabilitation, enabling more intensive, personalized, and engaging home-based treatments. Finally, the speech will highlight the future perspectives of digital rehabilitation, discussing opportunities, current limitations regarding standardization, security, and engagement, and the organizational and cultural challenges for the systemic adoption of these innovative models within healthcare systems.

AI: Scaling from (linguistic) models to (economic) markets

The real challenge for businesses in the future will be to shift from model training to market design, from focusing on the engineering and "agency" capabilities of the linguistic model itself to the organizational complexity of the "instituting" assembly that instantiates and enhances it. This shift from "models" to "markets," however, will require a cultural and strategic innovation effort, a radical shift in the paradigms of value co-creation between automation, amplification, and coordination.

AI-Enhanced Threat Modeling: How to Reduce the Cognitive Load of a Security Architect Without Relinquishing Control

This talk presents the blueprint of a system based on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and LLMs designed to accelerate threat modeling activities. The objective is to create a "cybersec tactical droid" that assists the security architect by processing large volumes of input—such as documentation, configurations, diagrams, and code—transforming them into an evidence map. Utilizing a predefined set of questions or "investigative rules" (STRIDE/PASTA/DREAD) mapped to NIST and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks, the assistant proposes the queries most pertinent to the context represented by the ingested documentation. Depending on the operational mode, the security architect may choose to utilize the question list in a traditional investigative manner or delegate the generation and autonomous execution of investigative prompts to the cybersec tactical droid. Fortunately, the Death Star engineers lacked this droid model; otherwise, they would have identified a small thermal exhaust port leading directly to the reactor core.

The human side of AI: shaping the future of HR

In the context of an increasingly rapid digital transformation, BNL BNP Paribas and Humans.tech take the We Make Future stage to share a concrete reflection on how artificial intelligence can become a tool for authentic innovation, capable of enhancing people, relationships, and corporate culture. During the speech, Alessandro Lucarelli (Data Platform Product Owner - BNL BNP Paribas) and Manuel Fontana (Product Lead & Senior Frontend Engineer - Humans.tech) will share the journey that led to the development of BNL BNP Paribas's new AI avatar in the Human Resources field: an innovative solution designed to redefine Recruiting and Employer Branding experiences by creating more engaging, innovative, and memorable ways to interact with talent and the younger generations. This stems from a drive to reinvent standard pathways and processes through AI solutions developed in collaboration with specialized technology partners like Humans.tech, reminding us that AI does not replace people, but empowers them. All of this takes place within a sector where trust, responsibility, and data management are pivotal. For this reason, the use of new technologies is built on three strategic pillars: data protection, data governance, and collaborative intelligence. This approach transforms AI from a mere tech trend into a true operating model capable of combining innovation, security, and a people-centric approach.

Implementation of a Digital Home Care Network for Monitoring Vitamin K Antagonist Therapy: The INR PoCT Network in the Bologna Metropolitan Area

The project involved the implementation of a digital home care network for monitoring anticoagulant therapy with vitamin K antagonists (VKAs), developed in the metropolitan area of Bologna. These therapies, which are essential for preventing thromboembolic complications, require constant monitoring of the INR (International Normalized Ratio), a key parameter to ensure the treatment's efficacy and safety, particularly in elderly and frail patients. To meet this need, an innovative model based on Point of Care Testing (PoCT) was introduced, allowing the test to be performed directly at the patient's home. Nurses perform capillary blood sampling and analyze the sample using portable devices, obtaining rapid and reliable results comparable to those of a central laboratory. The system is supported by an integrated digital platform that connects local services with the laboratory and clinicians. Data is collected and managed in real time, and results undergo automatic validation processes using algorithms, ensuring high standards of quality and safety. The digital report is then made available to the physician, who can intervene promptly to adjust the therapy and schedule any subsequent checks. To date, the network involves numerous home care units and a large number of patients, with thousands of tests performed each year. One of the main advantages of this model is the significant reduction in turnaround time: from several hours required by the traditional model to just a few minutes with the home-based system. This translates into more efficient therapy management and a reduction in hospital admissions. Furthermore, the system ensures full traceability of the process, reducing the risk of pre-analytical errors and improving the overall safety of the diagnostic pathway. In conclusion, this experience demonstrates how the integration of digital technology and local healthcare can transform the management of chronic diseases, making care more accessible, timely, and patient-centered, with concrete benefits for both citizens and the healthcare system.

The Geopolitics of Rare Earth Elements

Economic power in the nineteenth century belonged to nations rich in iron and coal. In the twentieth century, oil and gas became the main drivers of development. Today, the key players behind global growth are the elements classified as rare earths, together with other critical raw materials. And whoever secures them gains a position of strategic dominance in the world: China is restricting exports, the United States wants to annex Greenland, and Europe does not produce them — yet desperately needs them.

In Praise of (Ab)normality

"You are not normal" is a phrase that almost everyone has heard at least once in their life, and certainly not as a compliment. But is it always true that it’s better to be "normal"? Above all, what does "normal" actually mean, and why is this adjective often used as a sort of club to marginalize those who don't fit certain models?

Fragmentation > Frustration > Solution: Moving Toward Integrated Care

Digital health is growing fast, but instead of simplifying access, it has often increased fragmentation and complexity. AI Health risks amplifying this chaos if we don't fix the underlying issue: the lack of integration and a shared language across the healthcare system. This session explores the evolution from Digital Health to AI Health, highlighting its limits and opportunities. Through the Salute360 case study, we will see how to unify services, professionals, and patients into a single, accessible, and seamless experience.

The nonprofit sector represents a vast and underutilized market: how to penetrate it through effective partnerships.

The nonprofit sector is a massive market, yet remains largely untapped by the profit-driven world: the objective is not merely "charity," but the creation of authentic value. In this presentation, I will demonstrate why it is currently advantageous for companies to collaborate with nonprofit organizations and how to do so without descending into superficial Corporate Social Responsibility. We will examine partnership models, measurable objectives, common pitfalls (which erode both reputation and budget), and an operational checklist for initiating credible, purposeful, and sustainable collaborations.

Modera: Antonio Palmieri

Why AI for Product Teams Needs to Be Multiplayer

AI has transformed what one person can do. But building great products has never been a solo sport.  In this talk, Dave Ross explores how product teams are adapting — moving from fragmented AI usage to collaborative, agent-powered workflows. Using real examples from Miro, he’ll show how teams are rethinking how they work, build, and learn together.  And why, despite all the change, the fundamentals still win: strong culture, good judgement, and the environments that help teams learn faster — from hackathons to Fail Nights, and the informal moments where the best ideas often emerge

25 years after 9/11: the largest attack in history and the crisis of western democracy

In the 25 years since the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers — the deadliest attacks in modern history — the West has progressively redefined, and increasingly unbalanced, the relationship between individual freedom and collective security. A new “existential fear,” perceived as an irrational threat to the very foundations of Euro-Atlantic civilization, has led to the restriction of fundamental rights and the weakening of democratic representation, making the model of “illiberal democracy” more relevant than ever.

Training with AI: how conversational simulators are truly transforming learning.

What happens when we use AI to truly train people on real work situations? In this session, we’ll explore how conversational simulators and AI tutors are transforming learning from content to be consumed into experiences to be lived: managers practicing difficult feedback conversations, sales teams handling complex negotiations, and operators navigating critical situations in a safe environment. Through real cases and practical examples, we will examine: how to design learning experiences based on simulation and dialogue; what measurable impact they generate on performance, engagement, and on-the-job transfer; and how AI is radically reshaping the role of training—from content delivery to the design of practice environments. We will also look at what is already working in organizations today, the results being achieved, and what, in the coming months, will change the way learning is designed and experienced.

AI and strategic infrastructures: from experimentation to large-scale adoption across finance, public services, and public administration

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly evolving from an experimental field into a strategic driver of national competitiveness. In Italy, the real leap in scale depends on critical infrastructures, financial services, public administration, and large public platforms. This panel brings together firsthand experiences from highly complex environments, including public services, digital banking, strategic investments, and cross-industry implementations. The goal is to examine what is truly required to bring AI into large-scale production, including within public-sector contexts. From data management to governance, and from the role of public institutions to private enterprises, the discussion will highlight the conditions needed to transform AI into a structural driver of the country’s economic and industrial development. A practical discussion featuring those already building AI at a national scale, including adoption models within public administration. The panel compares four key perspectives from the Italian AI ecosystem.

AI and Manufacturing Consent

The evolution of Artificial Intelligence and digital platforms is profoundly redefining democratic processes, impacting the production and distribution of information, the shaping of public consensus, and the balance of power between citizens, institutions, and private actors. In a landscape where data, algorithms, and predictive models increasingly influence public debate, new challenges emerge regarding transparency, information quality, and the protection of fundamental rights. This panel brings together academic, institutional, and operational perspectives to analyze the risks and opportunities of this transformation, reflecting on the future of democracy in the digital age.

PANELIST:

Oreste Pollicino, Full Professor of Constitutional Law, Bocconi University

Riccardo Magi, Member Italian Chamber of Deputies

Marco Cappato, President Eumans

AI and Justice

The evolution of digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence is deeply transforming the justice system, redefining the very concept of evidence, investigative methods, and the delicate balance between security and fundamental rights. In this scenario, institutions, law enforcement, and policymakers are called to address new challenges related to the reliability of digital evidence, the rapid pace of innovation, and the adequacy of regulatory frameworks. This panel brings together operational, institutional, and legislative perspectives to outline the critical issues, opportunities, and future trajectories of a system in full transformation.

PANELIST:

Antonella Ciriello, Head of the Department for Technological Innovation of Justice, Ministry of Justice

Debora Serracchiani, Member of the Justice Committee, Italian Chamber of Deputies

Amedeo Martina, Commander of the 3rd Section of the Information Technology Unit of the Special Operations Group (ROS), Arma dei Carabinieri

AI and Global Innovation

In an increasingly competitive global scenario, technological innovation has become a strategic lever of international policy, capable of redefining economic balances, state relations, and development dynamics. Within this context, Europe is called to strengthen its role through a combination of policies, investments, and economic diplomacy tools, leveraging startups, enterprises, and research centers. This panel compares European and national perspectives to analyze how technology and innovation are integrating into geopolitical strategies and what opportunities are emerging for the European ecosystem on the global stage.

PANELIST:

Lucilla Sioli, Director for "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Industry", Directorate-General CONNECT, European Commission

Sergio Strozzi, Head of Innovation, Technology and Startups, Ministero degli Affari Esteri

Regions and Territorial Innovation Governance

PANELIST:

Mariaelena Motzo, Regional Minister for General Affairs, Personnel, and Reform, Autonomous Region of Sardinia

Valentina Cera, Secretary Councillor of the Presidency Office of the Regional Council, Piedmont Region

Elena Mazzoni, Regional Minister for the Digital Agenda, Promotion of a Culture of Legality, Poverty Reduction, and the Solidarity Economy, Emilia-Romagna Region

Alberto Lenzi, Councillor for Labour and Technological Innovation, Tuscany Region

The "Agentic Government" Model

Artificial Intelligence is introducing new ways for institutions to operate, paving the way for decision-making models that are increasingly automated, data-driven, and efficiency-oriented. Within this context, the concept of the "Agentic Government" emerges - a model where intelligent systems support, and in some cases transform, public processes, from policy-making to operational management. This panel brings together diverse experiences and visions to analyse how AI is redefining governance, participation, and accountability, and explores the implications for the future of democracy.

PANELIST:

Magnus Strobel, Co-Founder & CEO, Nexus Politics

Evelien Nieuwenburg, Co-Founder, Dembrane

Simone Maria Parazzoli, Co-Author, The Agentic State

Francesco Vecchi, Coordinator EU Civic AI, Eumans

Work, Institutions, and Social Dialogue

Technological transformations and new production models are profoundly redefining the world of work, bringing challenges related to rights, protections, and representation to the forefront. In this scenario, innovation intertwines with the need to ensure decent and sustainable working conditions, reshaping the role of institutions and trade unions. This panel brings together institutional and labor perspectives to analyze how work and models of representation are changing, and what balances will be necessary to reconcile development, innovation, and rights in the near future.
