The WMF - We Make Future, International Fair on Technological and Digital Innovation, will move to Bologna, at the Expo Center, on the upcoming 13th, 14th, and 15th of June 2024.

Bologna has always been a crossroads of cultures, creativity, and international innovation. It is the city that gave birth to the first university in the Western world, that houses the Technopole and the fourth most powerful supercomputer in the world, Leonardo, and that will host the UN University on artificial intelligence.

An internationally hyper-connected city, it is ideal for a platform like the WMF, which aims to improve the future by bringing together actors and subjects from all over the world.

HOW TO REACH BOLOGNA EXPO CENTER

Trains

Traveling by train to BolognaFiere is an ecological and relaxing choice.

The Bologna Centrale railway station is only a 10-minute taxi or bus ride from the fair area.

Public Bus Service

The Tper city public transport lines are:

●  Central Station > Fair District = lines 35 and 38
●  Fair District > Central Station = lines 35 and 39

● Taxi stops located at the parking exit of Piazza Medaglie D'Oro and at the Kiss&Ride exit on Via Carracci.

Cars

Reaching BolognaFiere by car is simple and convenient.

The fair area is strategically located, easily accessible from the A14 Bologna-Taranto highway. If you are arriving from the highway, take the 'Bologna Fiera' exit which will lead you directly to the entrance of the fair. Moreover, BolognaFiere has ample parking, thus ensuring convenient access for visitors. Make sure you have up-to-date information on traffic and possible road restrictions.

Aeroplanes

For those arriving by air, Bologna's Guglielmo Marconi Airport offers quick and frequent connections to the city and the exhibition area. From the airport, there's the Marconi Express service, which can get you to Bologna's central station in just 7 minutes. From there, you can take a taxi or bus to reach the exhibition area.

Alternatively, you can take the Aerobus BLQ 944 service, which will take you directly to the center of Bologna. From there, you can opt for a taxi or public transportation to reach BolognaFiere.

You can also consider the Corrente Car-sharing service: you can park or pick up cars at the Wait ZONE located next to parking P3.

The Taxi service is also always available from the airport, which can take you directly to the exhibition area. The journey from the airport to the exhibition area takes approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

HOW TO GET AROUND IN BOLOGNA

Autobus

You can easily reach BolognaFiere using public transportation:

  • If you're coming from the city center (less than 5 km away), you can take line 28.

  • From Bologna Central Station (4 km away), you can reach the exhibition area from Piazzale Medaglie d’oro with lines 35 and 38, and return to the city center with lines 35 and 39.

With the Roger app, you can purchase your travel ticket and plan your route to the fair directly.
You can check the bus lines and schedules on the website of the local transport company TPER.IT or use navigation apps that provide information on public transportation.

Car e Scooter Sharing

If you want to reach BolognaFiere independently or simply move around the city without the commitment of managing a car, you can use the Corrente service - 100% electric Car Sharing, with its 335 vehicles and a range of about 350 kilometers to travel inside and outside Bologna without paying for parking. Additionally, 100 electric scooters have been introduced, providing a sustainable option for navigating the city center. Furthermore, in Bologna, Enjoy also provides car sharing services. With 39 vehicles currently stationed in the city, Enjoy offers you the chance to travel in an eco-friendly manner. All you need to do is download the app onto your smartphone to rent a vehicle.

Bike Sharing

In Bologna, the RideMovi bike-sharing service is available with bicycles accessible 24 hours a day in various areas of the city. There are over 200 dedicated stations where you can pick up and drop off bikes.
