WMF has always been committed to promoting equity and inclusion within the technology and STEM field, by highlighting every year remarkable stories of women working in technology and actively contributing to its progress.

In a working and researching environment where only 24 percent of specialists are women, it is crucial to bring new generations of women closer to STEM. For this reason, also for the 2024 edition of WMF - We Make Future, International Trade Fair and Festival on Tech and DigitalInnovation, we have chosen to confirm the Call for Women in Tech to bring together these professionals, discover their perspectives and continue to inspire a turnaround in the industry.

Over the years, WMF has always been involved and listened to the contributions of many women professionals within the innovation field, experts, and personalities who have made a great contribution to the national and international field of innovation, thanks to their outstanding education and experience.

The initiative has so far involved successful women professionals from all over the world who shared their stories in the STEM industry during the three-day Festival. Among the guests in the past editions: aerospace engineer Chiara Cocchiara, Purna Virji, Senior Content Solution Consultant at Linkedin, Alejandra De Iturriaga Gandini, Vice-President of BEREC and Director of Telecommunications and Audio-Visual Sector of CNMC for Spain, Francesca Rossi IBM AI Ethics Global Leader, Dr. Melanie Rieback CEO and Co-founder of Radically Open Security.
