AI for Civil Engineering

AI for Civil Engineering

Artificial intelligence has entered the world of construction and civil engineering not as a future promise, but as a transformation already underway: from structural design to material optimization, from computational BIM to infrastructure monitoring, all the way to reliability and safety assessment. This revolution, long foretold, now demands to be guided with competence, critical thinking, and vision. This stage brings together academia, the construction industry, and institutions for an afternoon to take stock of where we truly stand and where we are heading. The goal is not to celebrate technology, but to discuss honestly what AI can do today, what it cannot yet do, and the responsibilities—technical, regulatory, and ethical—that this transformation brings with it, while keeping the quality and safety of works at the center.
