In an increasingly competitive sports landscape dominated by major investments, Artificial Intelligence stands out as a key resource for smaller organizations, often disadvantaged by limited financial means and low visibility. This talk will provide a general overview of AI applications in sports, with a specific focus on how advanced technologies—now accessible even with modest budgets—can help close the gap between mainstream and niche sports. From marketing to scouting, from promotion to athletic performance, AI today enables niche clubs and federations to achieve results that would have been unimaginable just a few years ago. Through concrete examples and future scenarios, the session will explore the opportunities, strategies, and challenges that AI technologies offer in driving exponential and sustainable growth for lesser-known sports, helping small organizations become major players.

Travel has always been a deeply human act—driven by curiosity, instinct, and emotion. It’s through travel that we test ourselves, make choices, discover who we are, and decide where we want to go.
Artificial Intelligence increasingly searches for us, inspires us, suggests, translates, guides, books, photographs, and reviews… often before we even realize we need it.
The journey, once a lived experience, now risks becoming an automated process. So the question is no longer just about tourism, but something deeper: Are we still choosing? Or are we getting used to being chosen? In an age where technology no longer merely assists us but begins to anticipate us, it's time to pause and reflect—not only on what it means to travel, but also on what it means to decide, explore, and live. Let’s uncover together the opportunities and paradoxes of AI-enhanced tourism.

As AI shifts the focus of software development from coding to intent, trust becomes the foundation. This talk explores how we ensure correctness, safety, and control in GenAI-driven systems. From real-time guardrails and structured generation pipelines to LLM-powered test creation and formal verification, we’ll outline the emerging stack for building trustworthy, AI-native software—where human oversight doesn’t scale, but trust and capability do.

The rise of generative AI models has taken the technology world by storm. Yet, its reasoning capabilities cannot be fully used in mission critical settings, like medical decision making and biological design. In this talk I will delineate the risks of current generative AI methods and describe a future where humans can fully trust machines.

In this talk, I undertake a dive into two ostensibly unrelated—and potentially profoundly consequential—technological developments of the twenty-first century: Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). AVs are designed to navigate complex real-world environments without human intervention, while AGI represents a form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) endowed with human-level cognitive abilities. I do this specifically because I advocate that progress towards full vehicular autonomy stands as a novel and precise benchmark of humanity’s progress towards AGI.

In 2025, the question is no longer whether machines can be intelligent, nor whether they can converse with us without being recognized. Today, the ambition has grown: we are now talking about machines capable of performing the same tasks as humans at a comparable level of competence. What path are we following to build them, how is progress measured, and what happens next?
Is it possible to imagine a world in which we are surpassed in certain intellectual tasks? Let’s take stock.

Every prompt we write consumes energy. But few know that, with the right techniques, we can drastically reduce the environmental impact of AI. In this talk, Pietro Orciuolo – Head of ESG Technologies at Tinexta Cyber and AI lecturer at the University of Trieste – takes us on a journey through unpublished data, scientific research, and new prompt engineering practices aimed at increasing the efficiency of language models. From computational savings to digital sustainability, this is a concrete, up-to-date session designed for those who want to write less, get better answers, and fully leverage the potential of generative AI... while consuming less. You’ll walk away with immediately applicable takeaways to use AI in a more strategic, conscious, and sustainable way.

AI creates, but who signs? In a world where a simple prompt is enough to generate an image or a text, identifying the author is no longer straightforward. With outdated laws, real-world cases, and unclear contracts, this talk sheds light on a crucial issue today: is creativity still human? And what do we risk if we stop asking who is really behind each work?

We've moved past the era of simple prompts and into the age of sophisticated AI integration. Behind every successful AI system lies an invisible infrastructure of decisions that most organizations discover too late. This session maps the terrain beneath the surface - from the technical components to the interconnected web of data governance, integration architecture, and adoption dynamics that determine whether AI creates lasting value or expensive disappointment. From data preparation approaches that balance quality with speed to governance frameworks that enable rather than constrain, leaders and practitioners will gain practical insights for building AI capabilities that adapt and evolve with organisational needs.

AI is rapidly transitioning from a future concept to a mainstream reality, fundamentally changing how we live, work, and connect. My work with AI at Google gives me a firsthand view of this major shift. Yet, my grasp of its profound effects is also deeply influenced by my personal quest for a more meaningful life, which encompasses Zen as well as the grounding practices of music, movement, and meditation. Through my integrated practice of presence and self-awareness – a transformative journey that empowered me to overcome many internal battles – I ultimately came to understand their crucial importance, a realization that speaks to a key challenge of our time: As screens and algorithms increasingly shape our realities, how do we stay anchored in ourselves and actively nurture our wellbeing? And as AI becomes an ever-growing part of our world, what fundamental ethical guidelines should steer this powerful technology to ensure it enhances, rather than diminishes, our human experience This isn't a talk about fearing AI; it's about gaining a clear-eyed perspective. We need to see AI for what it is: a powerful technology built on probabilistic models, essentially a mirror reflecting our own cognitive frameworks and, at times, our cognitive biases. To better understand this dynamic, I've been exploring insights from seemingly different domains: the age-old wisdom of Buddhism and the counterintuitive principles of quantum physics. Both, in their own way, offer perspectives on interconnectedness and the dynamic nature of reality – concepts that I believe have surprising relevance to our relationship with AI.  Ultimately, this isn't just a technical discussion. It's a human one. It's about how we find our footing, our sense of balance, a kind of "Zen"  in this rapidly evolving AI landscape. It's about fostering intentionality and presence so that these technologies truly serve to enhance our well-being, rather than inadvertently diminishing our sense of self. Let's explore how we can navigate this future with a combination of informed curiosity and a strong connection to our authentic selves, guiding our way ethically in the future of AI.
