Redesigning a service inevitably involves dealing with business requirements, technical requirements, and stakeholders with very different needs: newsrooms, user clusters, designers, and developers. How do you create something that simplifies complexity by bringing everyone together? By mapping processes, asking the right questions, and monitoring the results. Maggioli Editore Group's Digital Experience Platform (DXP) was built to manage the publishing ecosystem of 21 sites with different business and content delivery models. Through qualitative research and flow mapping we modeled a new service declined on the different touchpoints and built a custom platform that could offer a better user experience to users, but also a more efficient use to internal stakeholders. Making the undertaking even more challenging was the diverse nature of the sites, on the one hand the vertical ones and aimed at private professionals, and on the other the sites dedicated to Public Administration.
