In SaferPlaces we have developed a Global Cloud-based Platform for delivering on-demand timely risk assessment data for pluvial, fluvial and coastal hazards to support multiple users in assessing flood risk for cities worldwide and making flood smart data-driven decisions. Open Data (Geospatial, Satellite, Climate Data) and AI-based models are combined into a cloud-computing environment, to build a digital representation of the urban catchment (digital twin) and provide actionable insights and property-level flood risk information to streamline urban flood risk management, compliance, and mitigation. In real-time, forecasting or climate projections mode, our solution helps users to assess the risk, the extent and the damage on city infrastructures caused by floods and it helps multiple stakeholders in building preparedness and climate resilience. The users can generate the required flood risk intelligence with global coverage at high resolution (parcel level) in a few easy steps and with competitive economic costs.
