After my studies of biomedicine and completing my PhD in Biochemistry, I spent over a decade working in clinical research and development across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medtech industries. Most of this time, I led global clinical operations in a contract research organization – and while I was passionate about bringing new therapies and innovations to patients, I became increasingly frustrated. Too often, I witnessed how promising innovations never made it into the healthcare system. I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was deeply broken – and that we needed to finally move from reactive sickcare to true, proactive healthcare. That’s why I decided to leave clinical research and co-found pheal, where I now serve as Chief Medical Officer. At pheal, we develop modular Smart Patch technology that continuously monitors biomarkers in sweat, ISF and blood - bringing the lab to the skin and turning real-time data into early warnings for critical health events. Our mission is clear: to bridge the gap between medical innovation and real-world impact. And to help build a future where people can take control of their health before illness strikes.
