Marco Folegani

Marco Folegani is the owner and co-founder of MEEO srl and SISTEMA GmbH, companies specializing in Earth Observation and Remote Sensing application development and implementation. He has been managing partner at MEEO since 2004 and at SISTEMA since 2009. His roles include project manager, technical manager, data manager, and personnel recruiter. With over 22 years of experience, he has expertise in quantitative data analysis, software development, system design, and project management, particularly in the context of meteorological and environmental sensors. Before founding MEEO, he worked as a research contractor at the University of Ferrara. Folegani holds a BSc in Physics from the University of Ferrara and is proficient in Italian and English. Under his leadership, MEEO has become a key partner of the European Space Agency, focusing on making Earth Observation data accessible and usable for public and private sectors, including climate and environmental monitoring.
