Valentina Passeri

She developed his scientific career at the CNR and at the Department of Plant Development and Genetics (University of Amsterdam) studying the genetic control of pigment biosynthesis with particular attention to the transcription factors that regulate the synthesis and accumulation of secondary metabolites in model and cultivated plants. She is involved in the genotyping of olive cultivars, ecotypes and wild olive populations, in the study of the synthesis genes of the main chemical compounds contained in olive fruits and olive oils.
