Jan Hostaša

Jan Hostaša is one of the founders and the chief of R&D of Zenit Smart Polycrystals S.r.l., a spin-off of the CNR. After completing his studies at UCT Prague, he moved to Faenza, Italy, where he has been working as a researcher at the CNR ISSMC. His research primarily focusses on the production of transparent ceramics for optics, lasers, detectors and protective applications. He has studied the relations between process, microstructure and properties, and focused on advanced shaping processes for optical polycrystalline materials.

Jan Hostaša è uno dei soci fondatori e il Head di R&D di Zenit Smart Polycrystals, uno spin-off del CNR. Dopo aver completato gli studi presso l'UCT di Praga, si è trasferito a Faenza, dove lavora come ricercatore presso il CNR ISSMC. La sua ricerca si concentra principalmente sulla produzione di ceramiche trasparenti per ottica, laser, rivelatori e applicazioni protettive. Ha studiato le relazioni tra processi, microstruttura e proprietà, con particolare attenzione ai processi avanzati di formatura dei materiali policristallini ottici.
