Lights, Prompt, Action! From Traditional to Generative — and Back Again

Everything can be generated with AI — you just need the right prompt. But are we really sure about that? And above all, what truly changes compared to traditional video production?It is now widely acknowledged that AI is a tool serving human creativity, but how does it change the way we think in images? Camera movements, framing, lighting, cinematography, points of view, and editing: without mastering these elements and being able to visualize the video in our minds, we will never truly be able to guide AI.In this talk, we will analyze case studies and concrete examples, comparing scenes from “generative cinema” versus “traditional cinema,” generative editing versus traditional editing, also touching on the infamous “Netflix Light” that is affecting both classic and AI-generated productions alike.
