Mockumentary as a tool to expose digital narratives

As part of the National Cinema and Images for School Plan (CIPS) – promoted by the Ministry of Culture (MiC) and the Ministry of Education and Merit (MIM) – and inspired by Fellini's «The Clowns», this project utilizes the mockumentary genre as a tool for visual education. Spanning between the Riviera (Rimini, Cesenatico, Villa Marina) and the Bidente Valley hinterland (Civitella, Cusercoli, and Galeata), primary and secondary school students are filming fake documentaries to discover how images construct and manipulate reality, providing a practical gym for critical thinking.
