Ethics, aesthetics, and the future of edutech. Stems, humanities and the equivocation of needs

Digital innovation impacts school teaching practices in profound ways. However, in order to gain a comprehensive perspective on the state of the art and possible futures of schooling, it is necessary to also consider this phenomenon from the side of the digital transformation of learning and cognition. In this talk, we explore the ethical and aesthetic implications of emerging educational technologies, with a focus on the individual learner, the need to integrate stem and humanities into his or her skill set, to shape a cultural encyclopedia fit for the future.
