The Quantum Computer: From Vision to Reality

In the last century, the laws of quantum mechanics were discovered. Their application gave rise to what we now call the "first quantum revolution," which has given humanity technologies such as lasers, transistors, and GPS. Today, we are on the brink of a "second quantum revolution": in particular, new computers are emerging that are capable of harnessing these laws to increase their computing power. In this talk, we will discuss the evolution of quantum computers.
