The Centro Protesi Inail (Inail Prosthesis Centre) is a facility accredited by the Health Service, which has been welcoming people with motor disabilities since 1961 and which uses state-of-the-art technology to make customised prostheses and orthopaedic devices, flanked by rehabilitation training for the correct use of the device.
At WMF 2023, the Centre will present its 'Workshop 4.0' philosophy, highlighting how the creation of an orthopaedic device, whether for everyday life or for sports use, is the result of continuous experimentation with new materials and increasingly innovative construction techniques.
Finally, a look at the latest frontier in prosthetic control, represented by bionic prostheses: intelligent devices that aim to go beyond the traditional concept of prostheses and can give the patient a feeling of natural control of the artificial limb.
