In recent years, exponential technological innovation has been exploited to meet the economic and environmental efficiency needs of agriculture. However, the tools on the market only obtain indirect information on the needs of the plant by monitoring the soil and the environment. From here, in the biosensory laboratories of the CNR-IMEM in Parma, the business project Bioristor was born. The intent of this young company is to provide a tool to farms to optimize the consumption of water, fertilizers, and to diagnose the onset of plant diseases at an early stage. The bioristor is the first in-vivo biosensor in the world, completely biocompatible and able to analytically monitor the health of the plant in real time. In short, the mission of the dynamic Bioristor team is to change the rules of agricultural management, safeguarding the environment and farmers' income. Bioristor: we give plants a voice.
