The Global Impact Challenge is officially open.
The call will close on March 5, 2025. The selected entities will be contacted after the call closes.
2. Promoting entity

3. Objective of the initiative
The initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship by supporting the most innovative projects in the technological and digital fields. The call is intended for startups that have developed or plan to develop an innovative project or study characterized by their ambition and commitment to contributing to positive change in social or environmental areas.
4. Conditions of participation and operational mechanics
To participate in the call, it is necessary to fill out the appropriate form, which consists of four sections:

Within the third step of the form, each startup is asked to indicate which one or more of the 12 Challenges of the Future intends to address through their innovative project. 5 . Mode
The selected startups, to be announced in the coming months, will have the opportunity to join the international networks of WMF - We Make Future and will be able to present their project at WMF in BolognaFiere.
Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
1. Team skills, industry knowledge, and project feasibility;
2. Development stage of the product/service;
3. Degree of innovation and defensibility;
4. Competitive context and positioning;
5. Alignment with market needs and customer base, and market size;
6. Business potential of the idea;
7. Completeness of the documentation presented.
6. Awards
The finalists of the Global Impact Challenge will be evaluated by the technical committee of WMF who will award the prizes according to the following evaluation criteria:
1. Clarity of the pitch presentation;
2. Team skills, industry knowledge, and project feasibility;
3. Development stage of the product/service;
4. Degree of innovation and defensibility;
5. Competitive context and positioning;
6. Alignment with market needs and customer base, and market size;
7. Business potential of the idea;
8. Completeness of the documentation presented.
The awarding of the prize represents recognition of personal merit or encouragement in the interest of the community. The promoter cannot be held responsible for the awarding of prizes by the aforementioned partners.
7. Contact
The promoter reserves the right to make contact with the winners and any third parties indicated by means of the addresses in its possession.
8. Exclusion from the discipline as regulated by dpr 430/01
In accordance with Article 6 of dpr 430/01 "Regulations concerning the organic revision of the discipline of contests and prize operations, as well as local lottery events pursuant to 'Article 19, paragraph 4, of Law December 27, 1997, No. 449" this initiative is not considered a contest and/or prize operation as it is called for the presentation of projects or studies in the commercial or industrial field, in which the awarding of the prize to the author represents recognition of personal merit or in any case a title of encouragement in the interest of the community.
9. Liability
No liability can also be attributed to the promoter in relation to the conduct of the initiative and/or the awarding of prizes. In any case, the participant agrees to hold the promoter harmless and indemnified from any and all prejudicial consequences, costs, damages - including sanctions of the competent authorities - that may arise to the same or may be asserted against the same as a result of its actions or violation of the Rules. If, for any reason whatsoever, the initiative cannot be carried out as planned, the promoter reserves the right, at its complete discretion, to modify or cancel the initiative, without any liability for the promoter arising therefrom, without prior notice. For the purpose of participation in the initiative, no purchase and/or sale of products marketed by the promoter and/or related to WMF is necessary. Participation in the initiative is free of charge.
10. Applicable rules
The initiative and the above-mentioned regulations are subject to the regulations of Italian law.
