Regulations for the Call Startup for Mobility initiative

1. Duration and Timeline

The Call Startup for Mobility, in collaboration with Autopromotec, is officially open.

The call will close on May 20th, 2023. The dates for the finalist announcement will be communicated soon.

2. Promoter

The promoter of the initiative is Search On Media Group S.r.l., Legal and Operational Headquarters: Via Ugo Bassi, 7 - 40121 Bologna, VAT 02418200800 - Share capital 10,000€ Tel: 051 09 51 294 - Email: info@searchon.it, who organizes the WMF - We Make Future.

3. Objective of the Initiative

The initiative is dedicated to startups and innovative companies in the European automotive industry. The 4 finalists will have the opportunity to compete by presenting their pitch at WMF 2023, June 15-17, 2023, at the Rimini Fair, and win the Futurmotive Award: an exhibition desk at Futurmotive Expo & Talks, November 16-18, 2023, Bologna.

4. Conditions of Participation and Operational Mechanism

To participate in the call, it is necessary to fill out the appropriate form, which consists of four sections:

  • THE PROPOSER AND THE TEAM

  • THE COMPANY

  • THE PROJECT

  • DOCUMENTATION

Regarding the Pitch, it is necessary to follow the guidelines.

5. Mode of Operation

The finalist startups, to be announced in the coming months, will present their project on the stage of WMF2023 through a 3-minute pitch. Following the presentation, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions to the finalist teams in the following minutes.

Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Team skills, industry knowledge, and project feasibility;

  • Development stage of the product/service;

  • Degree of innovation and defensibility;

  • Competitive context and positioning;

  • Market and customer needs responsiveness and size;

  • Business potential of the idea;

Completeness of the presented documentation.

6. Prizes

The finalists of the Call Startup for Mobility will be evaluated by the WMF technical committee, who will assign the prizes according to the following evaluation criteria:

  • Clarity of the pitch;

  • Team skills, industry knowledge, and project feasibility;

  • Development stage of the product/service;

  • Degree of innovation and defensibility;

  • Competitive context and positioning;

  • Market and customer needs responsiveness and size;

  • Business potential of the idea;

  • Completeness of the presented documentation.

The awarding of the prize represents recognition of personal merit or encouragement in the interest of the community. The promoter cannot be held responsible for the awarding of the prizes by the aforementioned partners.

7. Contacts

The promoter reserves the right to contact the winners and any third parties indicated through the addresses in its possession.

8. Exclusion from the discipline referred to in DPR 430/01

In accordance with Article 6 of DPR 430/01 "Regulation concerning the organic revision of the discipline of competitions and prize operations, as well as local lotteries pursuant to Article 19, paragraph 4, of Law 27 December 1997, No. 449", this initiative is not considered a competition and/or prize operation as it is launched for the presentation of commercial or industrial projects or studies, in which the awarding of the prize to the author represents recognition of personal merit or encouragement in the interest of the community.

9. Liability

The promoter cannot be held responsible for the conduct of the initiative and/or the awarding of the prizes. In any case, the participant agrees to hold the promoter harmless and indemnified from any and all prejudicial consequences, costs, damages - including sanctions from competent authorities - that may arise from or may be claimed against him/her as a result of his/her actions or violation of the Regulations. If, for any reason, the initiative cannot be carried out as planned, the promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or cancel the initiative, without incurring any liability for the promoter, without any notice. For the purposes of participation in the initiative, it is not necessary to make any purchases and/or sales of products marketed by the promoter and/or related to the WMF. Participation in the initiative is free.

10. Applicable Laws

The initiative and these regulations are governed by Italian law.
