Therefore, we will address the issue of gender discrimination perpetuated by AI systems by reviewing some cases from recent years and discussing the underlying motivations behind them.

Wisdom & Leadership in the AI Era
Global culture is rapidly transforming as digital technology, in particular AI, becomes an integrated aspect of how we see and engage with reality. Many leaders are challenged as they try to keep up with the growing complexity and demands of the hyper-paced digital economy while also leading their teams through this time of uncertainty and change. It is not enough to be agile and technologically savvy in these times. As various modern day philosophers have urged, it is emotional intelligence and mental flexibility, guided by a deeply informed value system, that will enable people to adapt and potentially thrive in these disruptive times. It is a nuanced understanding of the upside of human potential, and the mental discipline it requires to cultivate this, that will distinguish the leader of the future from an ordinary leader. The leader who can navigate this new climate, role-modeling the internal resources needed, such as self-awareness, presence, empathy and wisdom, can encourage their teams to move beyond fear and creatively participate in shaping this new era of possibility. A leader who recognizes that we must make progress in wisdom as fast as we make progress in technology.

With major geopolitical tensions spanning three continents the Middle East, Europe and Africa it's becoming increasingly clear that human rights do not apply to all, Dignity, Freedom and Justice is the privilege of the few. This panel will critically examine the state of geopolitics and put to test the Universal Declaration of Human Rights against gross human rights violations in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Short story long: Consulting firms communicate poorly because communicating like this no longer works today
We are inclusive, innovative, and sustainable." "With us, you'll find a fresh and stimulating environment." "Resources are important to us." Yes, on social media, and then nothing is true. How many times have you experienced this boredom towards brand communication? Too many for me. Today, consulting firms are too focused on talking about their products and services, and this makes them very dull. What is needed? Talking about the needs of their target audience. Only in this way can turnover and frustration be reduced, and the best talents attracted. Because let's say it, this institutional communication is just from...consultants :)

The body and the digital: exploring online body positivity
The web can be a powerful tool to give a voice to causes that have been ignored for too long. Starting from my story, I will talk about how the Internet can be a means to understand that regardless of one’s body, every individual deserves respect and the same opportunities given to those with a body that conforms to society's standards. I will share the challenges I have faced along the way and how I have overcome common prejudices, using my online platform to inspire and encourage others to do the same. We will then examine how the web can be a fertile ground for creating inclusive and positive spaces that celebrate diversity in all its forms.

HOEPLI - THINKING THE FUTURE: Greg Hoffman – Designing Emotions - Lessons in creativity from a lifetime at Nike, with Cristiano Carriero and Riccardo Scandellari
Often, brands promote the "culture of identity," building teams around the personalities of leaders, thus avoiding dreamers with their eyes wide open, ignoring the taciturn because they assume that being introverted is a sign of weakness, and seeking those who resemble them. But often creative success comes from listening to people who don't think like us, from those dreamers who, faced with something taken for granted, look at you with a spark in their eyes and say, "What if..." We discuss this with Riccardo Scandellari and Cristiano Carriero, Hoepli authors, speakers, and branding experts.

BRAND STORIES - Narrative universes for brands that are people and people who become brands
Andrea Fontana, one of Italy's leading experts on business storytelling, is the author of Brand storiverso, the book that focuses on the most current ways of telling and telling about ourselves as brands and professionals. To generate positive perceptions, better reputation, more awareness and emotional involvement today we need to create “storiverses”: narrative universes with artfully created values, characters, scenes, settings, emotions. But we have to know how to do this well, otherwise the opportunity will be wasted. We talk about this with Andrea Fontana and Michele Riva.

Graphic Optimisation on Amazon: the power of design to achieve success stories
This speech is dedicated to the crucial importance of graphic optimisation on Amazon. In a universe of possibilities such as that offered by the world's largest e-commerce platform, it is essential to seize opportunities as effectively as possible. And this path starts with brand identity. Who would have thought that design could have such a profound impact even in a complex environment like Amazon? From the first image on our listing, our design strategy merges with our marketing strategy to increase CTR (Click Through Rate) and capture the attention of users. But we don't stop there. We move on to standard images, a process that balances information and style to deliver an engaging and informative experience. We then move on to A+ content, an often overlooked but crucial stage for conversion. And finally, we reach the store brand: no longer a simple catalogue, but a true e-commerce in which design plays a decisive role. With concrete examples of 'before and after', I will demonstrate how correct graphic optimisation can prevent a user from continuing to scroll, leading him instead to explore and eventually take the desired action. In conclusion, design is not just an aesthetic factor, but a key element for success on Amazon.

Embedded AI: When Size Matters
We live in an era where AI is extremely expensive and energy-intensive: large language models (LLMs) have opened up incredible opportunities, but at what cost? Is it really the only way to rely on the use of omniscient LLMs so that AI can assist us in everyday life? We want to discuss how Embedded AI is sometimes a more effective and sustainable alternative.

Brand, SEO, and Generative Search
After launching and experimenting with SGE since May 2023, Google started testing generative search even for those who had not requested to be part of the experiment in Search Labs. This is - or seems to be - the preliminary step to its final release. What does the release of SGE mean for all companies that see organic search traffic as an essential channel for their business model? What are the risks and potential benefits? How does it change the way of thinking, planning, and implementing SEO? How does generative search integrate into the broader Google ecosystem and beyond Search? In his talk, Gianluca Fiorelli will present - with plenty of data - the upcoming landscape, and will introduce ideas, strategies, and tactics necessary not only to withstand the impact that SGE will have but also to take advantage of its arrival, and how these strategies and tactics are not only necessary to maintain or improve visibility in Google but also in other ecosystems such as search on ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Bing Copilot.

Dear Design, how much do you cost me?
How do you deal with organisations that would desperately need design, but have no budget? The problem is that a service design project that is done well, that goes deeper (read: in which research is done properly), that does not merely replicate quick solutions tried and tested elsewhere, does indeed cost money, and is something that companies with a certain turnover or size, or at least a certain programmatic intention, can certainly afford. But those who do not have those resources, or those who have them but do not feel like taking the risk and investing in something they have never done before, are left out. However, if the governing principle of all design is 'try to do better with less' then we can try to apply it also to the estimates we present and the activities we put in place, in order to be able to offer something even to small realities: this is not the road to 'low cost' design, but rather a design challenge: how can we work while maintaining quality but better negotiating the activities actually needed and making the most of the resources already available?

Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for the Cities of the Future
In this presentation, I will describe how the vast amount of data on our daily behaviors (social interactions, movements, purchases) and the development of innovative models in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (such as deep learning and generative AI models) and complex systems are enabling the emergence of a new science dedicated to the study and design of cities and urban environments. For example, studies will be presented demonstrating how machine learning algorithms and new data sources can be used to estimate the socio-economic conditions of a neighborhood, predict crime levels in an urban area, and understand which features would allow the design of vibrant places capable of stimulating social interactions and creativity. These findings open the doors to a new way of studying cities and human societies through computational tools and with a depth and scale never before possible.

Sustainable fashion - an oxymoron?
Sustainable fashion - is it just an oxymoron or the goal to be achieved? According to EU Strategy for Circular Textiles, fast fashion will be out of fashion by 2030. Why do we focus on fashion in the context of sustainability? The impact on the environment is, in fact, enormous. It takes a lot of water to produce textile, plus land to grow cotton and other fibers. To make a single cotton t-shirt, 2700 liters of fresh water are required and according to estimates, it is enough to meet one person's drinking needs for 2.5 years. Textile production is estimated to be responsible for about 20% of global clean water pollution from dyeing and finishing products. The fashion industry is estimated to be responsible for 10% of global carbon emissions - more than international flights and maritime shipping combined. The way people get rid of unwanted clothes has also changed, with items being thrown away rather than donated. Less than half of used clothes are collected for reuse or recycling, and only 1% of used clothes are recycled into new clothes, since technologies that would enable clothes to be recycled into virgin fibers are only now starting to emerge. The question arises: Are the environmental (and also social) costs of providing us with cheap clothing worth it? As consumers, we all cast our votes. We all make the decisions. However, there's a noticeable attitude-behavior gap among consumers. While our knowledge of the environmental impact of fashion sector is growing, our behaviors are changing slowly. During the industry's transformation, we notice paradox of co-existence of ultra-fast fashion and local craft. At the same time, this transformation opens up space for new ideas, innovations, startups, and business models that can help the sector transition to a circular economy.

The (near) future of healthcare
I am thinking of the health care of the future that is truly people-centered, that is, that allows people to be cared for wherever they are, at home, on the street, in a hotel. The emergency room and hospital must be reserved for problems that cannot be solved otherwise. It can begin by creating a platform and an App, integrated with medical wereables in which data and clinical documentation shared between patient and caregiver are stored.

How AI will bring value (and money) to women with cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary skills
The proliferation of artificial intelligences will eliminate many jobs, but will generate value and money in many creative fields. For example, there will be fewer computer and technical professionals, fewer employees in administrative offices, cashiers, and call centers. Conversely, in all professions and sectors, especially for top roles, humanistic skills, interdisciplinary knowledge, and soft skills will be increasingly in demand (and well-paid). The intervention explains how and why women are more capable of navigating these changes.

You don’t have to contribute to Open Source
There are amazing programmers who have zero commits in the public github repositories, yet they work with open source projects every day. Sometimes work commitments or maybe a full personal life make it hard to find time to contribute, and that’s not a problem, it shouldn’t make us feel guilty.Helping a colleague to use a technology, making it more accessible by spreading it among their links, are examples of activities that really benefit the entire ecosystem, but do not entitle them to a "badge".If you really want to contribute to open source, you should first learn what open source really means, and then we can talk about some tips on how to contribute effectively. But don’t feel "obligated" to do it. In this talk I will try to explain why.

DPIA, FRIA, CA: the AI assessments required by law
Today, there are various regulations that require companies and public administrations that provide or use artificial intelligence systems to conduct assessments on the impacts of AI and how these systems comply with the law. This is the case, for example, with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): those intending to use an AI system must conduct a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). Additionally, the AI Act, the new European law on artificial intelligence, requires conducting a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIA) when using an AI system. The same law also introduces the obligation to conduct a Conformity Assessment (CA) to demonstrate the compliance of one's AI system with the requirements of the AI Act. This speech will present the various assessments that businesses and public entities must conduct on their AI systems to comply with legal obligations. It will explain how to conduct these evaluations and with what methodologies, highlighting points of contact and differences, while also focusing on the benefits that can arise from their correct and timely completion

How to lower the ACOS of AMAZON campaigns with the MAD method: our approach and potential applications
We had the opportunity to compare our work method on Amazon ads, refined over the years, with one of the most famous PPC Specialists in the USA, and from this brainstorming, we developed the MAD method. A procedure that significantly lowers ACOS and thus improves the performance of advertising campaigns in the vast majority of cases where it is applied. With this strategy, we have managed to halve ACOS on some accounts, thus doubling ROAS, and bringing significant benefits to organic sales as well

From Content Creator to Culture Creator: The Evolving Role of Creators
After the emergence of various creators over the years, we now find a new generation of "anti-influencers" completely revolutionizing the landscape. While in the past, comedic entertainers with their skits dominated, today there are content creators who share "their art" or "their craft," allowing people to learn or delve into their work and passions. Thus, culture is emerging as a new form of entertainment, making it "sexy" yet also trashy in its presentation. Sabina Wayroll is a tangible example of this and will discuss it during this interview with Riccardo Mortelliti.

We are NOT YET robots: Creative education in the age of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
In a world where an AI can produce a logo or write a tweet almost better than a human, where will this lead us common mortals? But, more importantly, what is the role of creative education in all of this? We will discover how AI is not just a tool to automate the mundane, but a true brainstorming partner that challenges us to rediscover our creative uniqueness.

AI: turbocharge your Ecommerce Sales

Google Maps of the 1800s, a historical journey
There is a man who was revolutionary for the kingdom of Naples and beyond in the 1800s, a man who meticulously crafted the largest collection of the most widely used atlases of that period. Borders, countries, regions and even food maps. Benedetto Marzolla, a Brindisi cartographer, left a very important archive of cartographies that today we want to superimpose with reality, making you navigate without getting lost on the way! The path of musealization is underway, with the collaboration of the Brindisi order of architects and the PCTO of the Marzolla classical high school. The project sees the collaboration of companies involved in digitization but especially with the high technology of overlaying the mapped image and the satellite image, 3D immersion paths accessible for all. The project sees a comparison of what were the technologies of the 1800s with our modern times.

Fortifying Trust in the age of GenAI
In the era of rapid AI advancement, the promise of technological innovation coexists with profound ethical dilemmas. Deepfakes hold immense potential for artistic expression and entertainment, yet their misuse threatens to corrode societal trust and manipulate public discourse. As a result of the exponential growth of generative AI, urgent questions arise regarding privacy, consent, and the integrity of truth in the digital age. We need to focus on Responsible Human AI systems, ensuring that technology serves to augment human potential and foster trust rather than undermine it.
