The Memory Wall in AI - A Crisis we must solve
The evolution of AI has largely been shaped by advancements in compute power. However, an equally critical factor—memory—has emerged as a defining bottleneck for the next generation of AI infrastructure. While GPUs and TPUs have seen exponential improvements in FLOPS, memory bandwidth and capacity have struggled to keep pace. Today, training and inference at scale are constrained as much by memory limitations as by compute. The financial implications are staggering: High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) now costs nearly as much as compute, and memory bandwidth is one of the leading constraints in large-scale AI deployments. The infrastructure of tomorrow must be designed with memory as a first-class consideration. This keynote explores the increasing role of memory in AI workloads, real-world examples of memory bottlenecks, and strategies for designing AI infrastructure that balances compute and memory effectively.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to AI-Powered Tourism
In a world where artificial intelligence is transforming every industry, tourism is no exception. This speech explores how AI can be harnessed to create a more sustainable and enriching experience for three key stakeholders: travelers, operators, and destinations. From the traveler’s perspective, AI-driven tools like personalized recommendations and real-time translation apps promise more customized, seamless journeys, making it easier to navigate and explore the world. For operators, AI can streamline operations, enhance customer service, and optimize marketing efforts to drive profitability. Lastly, from the destination’s viewpoint, AI can help manage visitor flow, protect cultural and natural assets, and promote sustainable tourism that benefits local communities. Through these lenses, the speech will outline how AI holds the potential to reshape tourism, ensuring it remains both economically viable and environmentally sustainable.

Artificial Intelligence and Corporate Welfare: Balancing Innovation and Personal Data Protection
We will explore how AI and Corporate Wellbeing can become strategic tools within companies. The adoption of Artificial Intelligence in the field of corporate welfare indeed opens up new perspectives for personalizing and optimizing the services offered to employees. Advanced algorithms can automate the management of benefits, allowances, and wellbeing programs, ensuring greater efficiency and inclusiveness. However, implementing AI solutions requires a careful balance between technological innovation and the protection of the privacy of workers and users in general, especially in light of the growing regulatory framework regarding personal data protection and the European Regulation on Artificial Intelligence. The challenge lies in combining the benefits of automation with the respect for fundamental rights even within the realm of corporate welfare.

Cybersecurity at the Edge: why should we care about, and why now!
The edge cloud, as natural evolution of cloud computing, is becoming a hybrid multi-cloud environment, federating communication and computing assets from operators, service providers and hyperscalers. Also emerging edge AI workloads and massive usage of data are imposing many challenges in terms of security and compliance with regulations, which are business critical. Furthermore, Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) scenarios are characterized by a complex multi-vendor, multi-supplier, multi-set of equipment including both HW and SW devices. Given this overall level of system heterogeneity, areas of security, trust, and privacy are key topics for the edge environments. This talk will provide a must-have overview on edge computing cybersecurity, with updates also on standards, compliance and best practices from the industry.

Piccoli budget, grandi risultati.

Prompt Rights
Can a prompt be patented? There is a market for prompts and an emerging profession—prompt engineering—that is increasingly in demand, leading to the need to protect them, use them exclusively, or license them. In this speech, starting from concrete cases, we will delve into the aspects and unresolved challenges related to the intellectual property protection of prompts, seeking to answer important questions: What kind of protection is possible? What are the characteristics that make a prompt eligible for protection? Does protecting a prompt also protect the associated work created?

Critical infrastructure Protection
Critical infrastructure protection (CIP) is a multi-faceted strategy that aims to defend vital assets and systems—ranging from power grids and water supplies to financial networks and transportation—against a spectrum of threats, including cyberattacks, physical terrorism, natural disasters, and internal sabotage; its core purpose is to maintain the continuity of essential services, safeguard national security, and preserve economic stability by implementing proactive measures such as robust cybersecurity protocols, rigorous physical security, comprehensive risk assessments, and collaborative information sharing between public and private sectors to bolster resilience and minimize the impact of disruptions.

Brand
Woke is dead?

If AI forgets women
Artificial intelligence is redefining the future of work and society, but it risks amplifying existing inequalities if it is not developed in an equitable way. This keynote will explore how AI can be both a threat and an extraordinary lever for women’s empowerment. We will talk about the gender data gap in AI, biases, the underrepresentation of women in technology development, and the economic and social implications for women’s work. At the same time, we will highlight the opportunities: AI as a tool to reduce the gender gap, redefine professional roles, and create a new, more inclusive economy.

AI and Credit Scoring: A Challenging Journey Through Privacy Regulations, the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights, and Fundamental Rights
One of the favored areas for the use of artificial intelligence systems is the financial sector, particularly in the evaluation of creditworthiness, given the speed and precision these systems can offer in analysis. On the other hand, this use has several legal implications, including: 1) the use of personal data, including sensitive data, through automated decision-making processes governed by Article 22 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”); 2) compliance with the requirements set by Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (“AI Act”), which categorizes credit scoring systems as “high-risk” systems that, in addition to the specific rules imposed on high-risk systems, must undergo a Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment. Both the GDPR and the AI Act reiterate the need to adhere to a general principle of transparency, including in terms of the traceability and explainability of the algorithm underlying the artificial intelligence system. Credit scoring systems have also recently attracted interest from the jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice, both with regard to the scope of application of Article 22 GDPR and, in particular, concerning the delicate balance between the right to transparency (understood as the right of data subjects/users to obtain meaningful information about the algorithm underlying the credit scoring system) and the protection of trade secrets related to the artificial intelligence system. This remains an open question, the complexity of which is expected to intensify in light of the increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence algorithms, making it ever more difficult to provide comprehensible explanations to users.

How AI is Transforming YouTube in 2025: What Creators (and Viewers) Need to Know
AI is drastically reshaping YouTube's landscape in 2025, with talking head videos suffering as barriers to entry plummet. Script writing that once took two days now takes just one hour with AI like Claude, flooding the market with high-quality content. Soon, AI avatars will become indistinguishable from humans, enabling creators to produce thousands of videos daily. In this presentation, Mike Dee gives actionable tips on how creators can pivot to survive this unprecedented transformation and how viewers can spot the difference between authentic human content and AI-generated videos before it becomes much harder!

Modelli micro, vantaggi macro.

Move2USA: How to develop an effective internationalization program in the United States to scale. Miami as a new hub for innovation and growth of Italian startups
In a context where the Italian VC market is stagnating or growing slowly, for Italian startups, internationalization is no longer an option but a necessity. However, the leap abroad is often met with fear or tackled without a solid strategy. The United States — and specifically Miami — now represent a privileged gateway to dynamic capital and new industrial and commercial opportunities, both in the North American market and in Latin America. This speech presents the Move2USA program, launched by FoolFarm in 2024 as a quarterly model of simple, concrete, and scalable internationalization, designed to guide Italian startups through a structured path that combines fundraising, networking, PoC, and go-to-market. During the presentation, the concrete results of the missions carried out between 2024 and 2025 will also be shared, which have already allowed several Italian startups to cross national borders and begin operations in the U.S. market. A real opportunity to scale in the world's most liquid and competitive markets, with method, speed, and vision, avoiding the typical mistakes of hasty expansion.

Accelerated time-to-value in business transformation - powered by genAI
In the era of AI, the key to success is time-to-value: how can businesses quickly transform their ideas and needs into actionable solutions? Crucial to this process is business management driving development, rather than delegating it to the IT department or external consultants. In this speech, Juho Nevalainen will share key insights from their experience in leading major business technology transformations using generative AI. Juho will outline methodologies and best practices for collaborating with both business management and IT to identify critical business capabilities and select the right technologies to meet those needs. Additionally, Juho will demonstrate how business managers can directly leverage generative AI—defining future capabilities, sketching to-be processes, and evaluating technologies to support them. The journey begins with business strategy and culminates in concrete user journeys, workflows, and AI use cases. This session will also reveal how business management can take full ownership of their transformation, ensuring value realization instead of simply observing from a distance.

AI Reskilling: Top 10 AI/GenAI Job Roles
The question should not be -'Will AI take away my jobs?' It should be rather- 'Will you allow AI to take away your jobs?' Believe it or not but AI / GenAI is going to impact your jobs in three ways: 1. Peripheral Impact (minor changes to job description) 2. Core Impact (massive changes redefine the description) 3. Complete Replacement (make your job obsolete). Regardless of whichever category you belong to, it is super important to reskill to survive the AI onslaught. This presentation will highlight the top 10 new AI/GenAI job roles that will be in high demand in future, how to identify which one matches your fortitude, and what steps one should take in developing the necessary skills and competencies to execute them successfully.

Driving Intelligence: a benchmark for AGI
In this talk, I undertake a dive into two ostensibly unrelated—and potentially profoundly consequential—technological developments of the twenty-first century: Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) and Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). AVs are designed to navigate complex real-world environments without human intervention, while AGI represents a form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) endowed with human-level cognitive abilities. I do this specifically because I advocate that progress towards full vehicular autonomy stands as a novel and precise benchmark of humanity’s progress towards AGI.

Locking Bad: Optimistic vs Pessimistic Concurrency Control

Man VS Machine: can we actually tell the difference between AI and human material?
Recent studies have revealed how we show different behaviours to chatbots that are more 'robotic' versus others that show more human features, but what does our brain see when we are faced with AI content? The skin conductance response (SCR) is an indirect measure of our nervous system's activation in response to a particular set of stimuli and has become a biological marker for attention, familiarity and emotive states. It displays pre-conscious activation, measure of a 'gut feeling', which has been used widely in consumer neuroscience to analyse how we instinctively respond to branded content and campaigns. We know that AI-generated stimuli can sometimes trigger the 'uncanny valley' feeling, but can our brains tell the difference between AI and human, where does it draw the line and how does this affect our behaviour when we are faced with it in marketing? In an attempt to answer these questions, Giulia ran a neuromarketing study measuring SCR when participants were watching AI and human generated content, and the preliminary results paint an interesting story about the future and ethics of marketing.

Biased AI=Biased society : Uncovering gender and racial discrimination in AI-based systems
While AI systems are rapidly transforming human life, there has been a growing concern for a decade on prejudices and systematic discrimination caused by those sociotechnical systems embedded in critical domains and education, criminal justice, healthcare, and social security/support. While society tries to proceed with the capabilities and limitations of AI to mirror societal biases into the monopolistic systems, the question is no longer "How to develop AI systems that are unbiased" but "Who decides about AI systems and data embodied into those models.". This speech will enlighten the critical questions around GenAI applications from a socio-technical perspective, debating about the data economy created in past decade, challenging the status quo, and the way next generations will be effected by it.

How can AI help solve the global learning crisis?
In Sub-Saharan Africa, 9 out of 10 children are in what the World Bank defines as ‘learning poverty’ - in other words, they are unable to read a simple sentence by age 10. This is the heart of a global learning crisis, that will profoundly undermine the achievement of all of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Generative AI is radically reshaping what’s possible in education, and is creating new, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities to tackle the global learning crisis. At AI-for-education.org, we’re working closely with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and others to identify the most exciting new innovations, and support product developers, governments, tech companies and educators to equitably improve learning at scale in low-and-middle income countries. In this speech, I’ll share everything we’re learning about the potential of AI to transform education for the world’s most disadvantaged children, as well as the risks. I’ll cover the most exciting use cases we’re seeing, how we can determine which products will actually work to improve learning, and what still needs to happen if we are to realise the promise of AI to help ensure that every child receives a quality education.

How to combine ecological transition and competitive advantage
In this presentation, I'm going to share with you how to differentiate yourself in your market and correlate profitability with the positive environmental impacts of your business, while ensuring that your teams are on board with this strategy. This is based on a pragmatic method that I have developed, the concept of Sustainable Global Innovation. This method is the fruit of over 18 years‘ experience in industry as an international Innovation Leader and over 6 years’ research into how to pragmatically combine innovation, ecological transition and profitability without it costing more. In this speech, I'll be talking about some keys: - The step-by-step method for reducing environmental impact without massive investment, - How to reduce your operating costs and create a competitive advantage by adopting sustainable and innovative practices, - And how to get your teams on board by boosting their mindset without being sanctimonious or a killjoy.

Artificial Intelligence + Oceanic Feeling.
